Yes! Although I consider working with queer and Asian identity development and anxiety to be my specialties, I work with people across many presentations and identities. Please see the “Services and Fees” section if you’d like more information on populations/concerns I work with. I find a lot of fulfillment in diversifying my caseload.

I’m currently available only via telehealth services, in other words, by meeting online through video call. Depending on your payment method, we’ll meet via the telehealth platforms associated with SimplePractice, Headway, or Grow Therapy. These platforms are HIPAA-compliant and maximize your privacy.

The purpose of this call is to determine if you and I are a good fit before we begin working together. If you’re currently shopping around for therapists or are coming into therapy for the first time, the consultation would be the perfect place to start.
I’ll lightly ask about what you’d like for the two of us to work on, your past experiences with therapy (if any), and goals. I’ll then share with you about my therapeutic style to give you a sneak peak of what I’m like to work with as a therapist.
A lot of clients often feel anxious coming into the call, as it’s often their first time seeking services in any manner. I hope it reassures you to hear that by the end of the call, people usually find it helpful to have chatted with me and get to know me a bit. It’s also your opportunity to ask me as many questions as you’d like about the therapeutic process. I’m known to be a warm and inviting therapist, so please let me know how I can help you feel at ease.

I do my best to maximize my clients’ autonomy and power in therapy, and the biggest way this manifests is in the way I run sessions. Sessions often begin with a brief check-in: I ask about your day and then your past week. Clients often take this opportunity to identify the focus of that session.
When clients share that their days and weeks have been totally fine, I usually ask, “What should we talk about or do to make today helpful for you?”
From there on, I typically help clients openly and safely process stressors, insights, and other things on their minds. Clients often say they find it helpful that I help them “untangle” the “mess” that they bring into sessions. Sometimes clients like to be more action-oriented and come in with a specific goal in mind, and sometimes clients prefer to share about painful topics knowing that I’m there to listen and provide a safe environment.
